A Weekend of Love

We had the best weekend in both of our families! Eeek...it's just so exciting!

First off, we welcomed home our newest niece, Miss Emmerson. She's so tiny, with the softest strawberry blonde hair and the biggest feet you've ever seen. She's absolutely precious and we couldn't be more proud to be her Aunt & Uncle. I made a homemade meal of potato soup paired with a jalapeno, bacon corn bread on Friday evening. Then we headed over to Justin's brothers and took in all the little baby snuggles we could. We shared stories and laughed, all while little Miss Emmerson slept in our arms. It was the best night! It also made us more reassured, that we can't wait for the day we get to become parents.

On Saturday afternoon, we headed south to celebrate my niece, Mallory. She married the love of her life, Kirk. It was the perfect ceremony, with laughs, a few tears and an abundance of love! To top it all off, my nephew Brad played the roll of the minister. (But seriously, he is ordained from some place on the internet!)

The reception, was even better of course! The speeches were touching and amazing on all parts, especially my brothers! However, the best part was the video from my nephew Lane. See, he's in the Marine Corp's and unfortunately duty calls, so he was unable to get home for the wedding. He did however, manage to make a video speech showing off his quirky loving ways. There wasn't a dry eye in the room that evening! We danced, we laughed and we especially celebrated the new couple!

The snow fell just as we were leaving for the night. It was so peaceful and calm, it was absolutely the perfect night for a wedding!
